Beyond its religious significance in Islam, Madinah is also a city rich in spirituality and history. Let's start from the start, by touring the historic Quba Mosque, the very first mosque in Islam. It was constructed by Prophet PBUH himself and his fellow companions when Muslims migrated from Makkah to Madinah. This mosque holds a very special place in the history of Islam as the first-ever place of worship for Muslims. The architecture of this mosque consists of a green dome with beautiful calligraphy in Arabic. Apart from the place of worship visitors also come here to take pictures.

Also known as Masjid e Nabawi, this place is a burial place for Prophet Muhammad PBUH and is the second holiest mosque in Islam. The mosque attracts millions of pilgrims from around the world, and it is safe to say that it is the center of the Muslim world. The mosque has a very prominent big green dome and huge courtyards with pure white marble floorings, it is open throughout the year for ziarats and prayers. Located on the Nothern side of Madinah City, the Uhud Mountains are known for their rich historical significance. It is the location where Prophet Muhammad PBUH and his companions fought a battle against the army of Mecca in the year 625 AD. Today the pilgrims hike up the mountain and explore this location to view historical sights and graves of the companions who were martyred in the battle. 

In Islamic history, the Qiblatain Mosque Medina is significant because it commemorates the shift of the Qiblah (the direction of prayer) from Jerusalem to Makkah during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Also referred to as a place of justice, Qasr Al Hukum is one of the historical places in Madinah which was built at the time of the Ottomans. This place served as an administrative building and a courthouse, and now it serves as a museum that highlights the culture and history of Madina. It's open to the public from 8 am to 9 pm where they can explore the beautiful architecture as well as historical displays.

The battlefield of the Trench, a significant historical site in Madinah, is where the famous Battle of Khandaq took place in 627 CE. This battle was fought between Muslims and non-Muslims and is considered one of the most important battles in Islamic history. It attracts visitors from around the world who come to pay their respects and learn more about this pivotal conflict in the history of Islam. The good thing is there are no entry fees and the site is open 24/7.

Named after Sayyid al-Shuhada, the leader of the martyrs, who was Hazrat Hamza bin Abd al-Muttalib, Sayyid al-Shuhada's Mosque was constructed to honor the martyrs who lost their lives in the Battle of Uhud. Hazrat Hamza gave his life during this battle and was a close companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The mosque is located at the north of Madinah and attracts tourists with its exquisite architecture and unique embellishments.

One of the main features of the Masjid al-Nabawi complex in Madinah is the Green Dome, also referred to as the Dome of the Prophet. Marking the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) grave, it is easily identified by its characteristic green hue. The Green Dome, a prominent representation of Islamic culture and tradition, draws a lot of tourists who can observe it from outside the mosque as a token of respect and devotion.
